Doble began his racing career in 2018 in the BMW Compact Cup, a competitive entry-level series where he spent three seasons sharpening his race craft. During this time he gained valuable experience and showed his potential as a rising talent.
In 2021, Doble took a significant step forward by moving to the Ginetta GT5 Challenge. Competing against a strong field of drivers, he quickly adapted to the new machinery, demonstrating his versatility and race-winning ability. By the end of the season, he had secured an impressive fourth place in the overall standings, confirming his status as a driver to watch.
The following year, 2022, marked a turning point in Doble’s career. Competing simultaneously in the Ginetta GT5 Challenge and returning to the BMW Compact Cup, he delivered a remarkable season-long performance. Doble amassed a total of 12 victories and 10 further podium finishes across both championships, showcasing his consistency and race-winning pedigree. His efforts culminated in an extraordinary weekend where he was crowned champion in both categories, a rare achievement that highlighted his exceptional talent and determination.
Riding the wave of this success, Doble made his debut in the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) in 2023 with CarStore Power Maxed Racing. In his rookie season, he faced the challenge of adapting to the highly competitive and fiercely contested BTCC grid.
Despite being a newcomer, Doble made an immediate impact by becoming the only driver outside the dominant NAPA Racing UK team to secure a pole position, a testament to his speed and composure under pressure. Although he narrowly missed out on winning the Jack Sears Trophy, awarded to the best rookie, his performances throughout the season earned him widespread recognition and respect within the paddock.
In 2024, Doble would have wanted to improve his Jack Sears’ Trophy position that extra place to which he dominated in the Vauxhall Astra. A second place finish after a last lap battle between 2024 Driver’s Champion Jake Hill would highlight the pace Doble and the Power Maxed Racing team could come together to produce.
For the 2025 campaign, Doble returned as the sole initial entrant for Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing. After the opening event, the #88 gained a teammate in Nick Halstead and also one-bettered his 2024 efforts after becoming a BTCC race winner in Round 9 at Snetterton. After the factory fire that saw the end of the Vauxhall Astra for Power Maxed Racing, Doble competed in a Cupra Leon from Knockhill onwards.
In 2026, the team are back with an Audi A3 Saloon as the partnership between Doble and Power Maxed Racing continues into its fourth year under the LKQ Euro Car Parts with Power Maxed Racing banner.
