Michael Crees started his BTCC career in 2019 off the back of winning the Ginetta GT4 Supercup - AM category the year prior. Racing for GKR Scaffolding with Autobrite Direct in the Volkswagen CC Crees would score 11 points in his debut season, picking up points in his very first race at Brands Hatch.

Switching to The Clever Baggers with BTC Racing in 2020, the Honda Civic Type R driver would have his best BTCC season to this day, without even competing at the final round of the campaign.

2021 would prove to be a year in which the Kent racer would not drive in the series before making a full-time comeback the year after. Now in the Vauxhall Astra, Crees would have his best race finish on three separate occasions, all at Thruxton.

After last competing in the second half of the 2023 season, Crees now returns for a programme of five events currently for Team Vertu.
