The 2024 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship heads to Silverstone (21/22 September) for the penultimate event of the year, here’s all the information you need to know to keep up with the action…
An action-packed weekend on the Donington Park GP layout last time out left the six stars in the championship battle embroiled in the second tightest championship order in the previous 21 years.
Josh Cook would take only his fourth ever BTCC pole on the Saturday, putting himself in the prime seat for race day as the driver furthest from title glory that is in the hunt. Colin Turkington would start alongside Cook and took advantage of the clear run into Redgate, eventually going on to win the opening bout.
Ashley Sutton scored only his second victory of the year in the second race of the day, a stark contrast to his record-equalling 12 victories in one season in 2023. NAPA Racing UK team-mate Dan Cammish would go on to win the finale, ensuring that all title protagonists had stood on the top step of the rostrum this season.
Despite the four mentioned, the two at the top of the standings would rotate as after a double-podium, Jake Hill walked away after turning a three-point deficit into a 13-point advantage over Tom Ingram.
