The first highlights programme of the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship will be aired on ITV4 tomorrow, with this season’s coverage carrying an exciting and additional insight.
One BTCC driver will takeover the @ITVSport Twitter feed during the first scheduled highlights of each event on Saturday afternoons, who will answer questions and post his thoughts while the action is played out free-to-air to the watching nation.
To kick things off we’ve invited (spoiler alert!) race three winner Colin Turkington to take over the reigns after the Ulsterman enjoyed an action packed opening event at Brands Hatch.
Colin remained in contention for the title throughout 2013 and that despite his eBay Motors BMW only breaking cover on the eve of the campaign. That meant Turkington enjoyed a tough Brands Hatch Indy opener last time around, but it was a very different story last weekend as the West Surrey Racing-run outfit were immediately ready to challenge for victory.
The 90-minute highlights programme gets underway at 15:15 tomorrow and Colin will be online until its conclusion at 16:45. To get involved simply tweet the man himself at @ITVSport using the hashtag #AskColin and you can be a part of the show!
If you’re late to the party then remember that ITV4 +1 will be running the highlights one hour after the original broadcast, and ITV4 will repeat the programme again at 8:15 on Sunday – minus Colin’s input!
