Team Vertu's Tom Ingram has doubled up during the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship free practice sessions at Donington Park, as the 2022 champion topped both encounters on the opening day of the season.
Four-time champion Ash Sutton was next in the order as the NAPA Racing UK star again showed the speed of the #116 Ford Focus, ahead of another Hyundai duo of Adam Morgan and Tom Chilton.
"The balance of the car has been okay in FP1 and FP2," said Sutton. "I guess we'll find out who's been sand bagging come qualifying, but we've got a good understanding of the car.
"We've got a few little tweaks to make but we're in a good place."
NAPA Racing UK's Dan Cammish was fifth, whilst reigning champion Jake Hill entered the top six for the first time in his Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport BMW.
Mikey Doble continues to show solid pace in seventh for Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing, ahead of Restart Racing's Dan Lloyd and WSR debutant Charles Rainford in the LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR BMW.
Josh Cook – the man who set the pace here during Season Launch just ten days ago – was tenth in the #66 One Motorsport Honda Civic Type R.
Both sessions have passed without incident although a number of drivers have been pulled up for track limits infringements.
Qualifying for Round 1 of the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship from Donington Park will take place at 1510 later today and will be screened LIVE here via the ITV Sport YouTube channel.
