TOCA RADIO RETURNS

27th March 2014

TOCA Radio is set to return for the 2014 season with live commentary streaming on btcc.net throughout every weekend of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.

Every practice, qualifying and race session from every championship featured on the TOCA Tour will be streamed via the 'Live' section of the all-new BTCC website, meaning TOCA Radio can now be listened to from desktops, smart phones and tablets. A number of circuits will also broadcast the coverage to its trackside spectators via AM or FM radio.

The famous circuit commentary provided by Ian Titchmarsh and Alan Hyde will now stretch across the globe from the Saturday morning of each weekend until the close of play on Sundays, and with plenty in-between.

TOCA Radio online will loop qualifying commentary and exclusive interviews after hours on Saturday evenings so you can catch up with all the action, whilst Sunday night onwards will host commentary re-runs from the three BTCC races and further interviews with the headline makers from that particular weekend.

Listeners are encouraged to get involved by tweeting @DunlopBTCC using the #TOCARadio hashtag.

The returning service is part of the BTCC's ongoing commitment to provide fans with the best possible coverage of the championship, led by our extensive live television coverage of every race on ITV4.

The BTCC Media Team provides instant updates via its Facebook and Twitter pages, whilst session reports, results, images and recorded audio interviews can be found on btcc.net.

The website service doesn't end there, however, as the new 'LIVE' section also hosts live timing and TOCA Radio every weekend, plus links to ITV's live video streaming of BTCC qualifying on Saturdays and the full race-day coverage on Sundays.

"The plan is simply to make available as much information to our fans as possible," said BTCC Media Manager Simon Melluish. "We're renowned for our accessibility to spectators who attend our events and we hope to provide that same ethos to those who maybe listening or watching the action from their home or on the move.

"The first class circuit commentary has always been the first source of information to those in attendance and we're delighted to extend that service to fans logging on to btcc.net from wherever they are in the world."
