Success at Mallory Park for PM Junior Championship

The PM Junior Championship took another significant step towards its inaugural 2027 season with a successful Taster Day at Mallory Park, where 17 aspiring young drivers experienced the PM1 car first-hand.

Drivers from a range of backgrounds, including karting, sim racing and other junior motorsport categories, came together to try the car and discover what the new championship has to offer.

The morning sessions took place in predominantly dry conditions before rain arrived around lunchtime, leaving the circuit wet for the afternoon drivers.

The changing conditions did little to dampen the excitement. Feedback on the PM1 was consistently positive, offering further encouragement as preparations continue for the championship's first season.

Building the Next Generation

Developed by Power Maxed Racing, the PM Junior Championship offers a structured pathway for drivers aged 14–17, helping them progress from their early experiences in motorsport towards professional car racing.

At its heart is the PM1, a racing car designed to give young drivers a competitive platform to develop their skills, gain valuable experience and prepare for future opportunities in the sport.

Combining competitive racing with a strong emphasis on driver development, the championship brings together technical expertise, professional motorsport experience and opportunities for progression. It is built around three core pillars: Develop. Race. Progress.

Interest is also growing across the wider motorsport industry, with established organisations exploring the opportunities presented by the new series. This engagement highlights the PM Junior Championship's potential to become an important part of the pathway for future racing talent.

Looking Ahead to 2027

The Mallory Park Taster Day marks another milestone in the championship's preparations, giving prospective competitors a first-hand experience of the PM1 and a clearer understanding of the series ahead of its debut season.

As interest builds among drivers and the wider motorsport industry, Power Maxed Racing is working to establish a competitive, development-focused environment for the next generation of racing drivers.

The ambition goes beyond launching a new championship. By combining quality racing with opportunities to learn, develop and progress, the PM Junior Championship aims to help young competitors take the next steps in their motorsport careers.
