Yesterday the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship grid took to Thruxton Circuit as Britain's premier motorsport series returns to the 2.37-mile track.

Qualifying saw Halfords Racing with Cataclean man Dan Rowbottom put his Honda Civic Type R on pole, continuing the squad's strong history at the Hampshire speedbowl.

After struggling with balance issues during the session, Josh Cook was pleased with third-fastest during the session:
