The second race weekend of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship got underway yesterday (14 May), with qualifying providing the action at Brands Hatch Indy Circuit.
The session showcased the competitiveness of the championship, with the top 25 cars covered by less than a second and no fewer than 18 cars dipping under the previous qualifying lap record.
Colin Turkington achieved his 25th pole position in the championship, with a quarter of BMWs lining up at the front of the grid for the opening encounter at 11:30.
Turkington's pole also marked the 100th pole position for an NGTC car:
