In 2023, the Mini 7 Racing Club National Championship will join the TOCA package for the Thruxton event on 3/4 June.
Completing a series of recent announcements from the likes of Porsche, Legends, Caterham, and Radical, the classic and familiar Minis have also been added to the hugely popular BTCC support bill.
Highly competitive action and impressive grids have cemented the Mini 7 Racing Club as a crowd favourite since 1966 and its 2023 calendar will run across 17 events from March to October, with the BTCC-supporting TOCA round being a clear highlight.
Classic minis are well known to the BTCC fanbase, having already raced on the package for one-off outings during recent seasons.
Alan Gow, BTCC Chief Executive, said: “The Mini 7 Racing Club has joined us on occasion during previous seasons and has always proved hugely popular among the spectators trackside, as well as the many more watching on television. So, I was keen to have these classic Minis in our guest slot at Thruxton next year, where I am sure they will provide the excellent close racing that we’ve become accustomed to.”
Nick Cooke, Mini 7 Racing Club Chairman, said: “This is my 35th year with the club, and the calendar for 2023 looks one of the strongest ever, and we are set for another epic season of classic Mini racing.”
