Milestone men

19th June 2016

A number of drivers reach significant milestones at Croft today with a quartet of competitors clocking up 950 BTCC races between them.

Rob Collard (400 races), Gordon Shedden (300), Rob Austin (150) and Jack Goff (100) are all celebrating different stages of their respective careers at the North Yorkshire venue, with one man inparticular having made the most of his opportunity in Britain’s best motor racing series.

“It feels like about ten minutes ago when it all began, as opposed to ten years,” said two-time champion Shedden. “It was hard to get a foothold in the series at first. I had to work really hard but I eventually found a home at Team Dynamics. I’m really good friends with Matt [Neal] – we get on well and it’s great to work together in pushing the team and car forwards. I wish I was celebrating 300 wins but 300 races is still a great achievement.”

Shedden, Goff and Collard made their milestones in race one, whilst Austin reaches his landmark in race two.
