Pirtek and Andrew Jordan have confirmed a new three-year deal which will take their partnership through until at least the end of 2018 in the MSA British Touring Car Championship.
The hugely successful partnership means that Jordan will continue to challenge for the BTCC title for another three seasons with headline backing from Europe's number one provider of fluid transfer solutions and mobile hose replacement.
The deal between Jordan, the 2013 BTCC champion, and Pirtek represents one of the most enduring sponsorship arrangements in British racing. Pirtek first became involved in racing with Andrew and his father Mike in 2004 and later increased its commitment to become title sponsor of Andrew’s BTCC car. Back in 2004, Pirtek was a supporter of Andrew’s early racing career in Junior Rallycross at the age of 15.
“There is tremendous loyalty from both sides of this partnership and I’m extremely proud to extend our contract with Pirtek for another three seasons,” says Andrew. “I’m absolutely delighted to be able to plan ahead with the knowledge that I have a proactive, supportive and incredibly enthusiastic sponsor alongside me. This long-term commitment will allow me to be in the best position to challenge for more race wins and another BTCC title.”
Pirtek’s Marketing Manager, Tammie Argent-Peters, echoes Andrew’s views. “When we first agreed to sponsor Andrew he was an exciting but unproven prospect. But together, we have seen him grow to become one of the sport’s leading and most popular contenders. What started out as a pure sponsorship arrangement has evolved to become a true working partnership,” she says. “As a direct result of that partnership we have seen our brand recognition sky-rocket, we have enjoyed incredible levels of TV and trackside exposure and we are now a championship-winning team that will continue to compete at the highest level for years to come.”
