Snetterton will be holding a major Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship tyre test on Thursday (16 July), with up to 25 cars expected to participate and entry to the venue is free to spectators.
The list of teams atttending includes front-runners Honda Yuasa Racing, Team BMR (VW), WSR (BMW) and MG Triple Eight, who, along with one further team will be assessing new Dunlop tyre compounds for the 2016 season. Colin Turkington, Matt Neal and Andrew Jordan have so far been confirmed for this process, with Honda, WSR and BMR also expected to run a full quota of drivers ahead of the August BTCC rounds at the Norfolk circuit.
The test will also mark the return of Motorbase, with a pair of Ford Focuses for Mat Jackson and James Cole. It will be the first opportunity to see how the new EcoBoost-engined car compares to the opposition.
Also attending the test will be AmDtuning.com with new driver Nicolas Hamilton in an Audi S3 alongside Mike Bushell's Ford Focus. They will be joined by Speedworks (Toyota), Houseman Racing (Toyota), Eurotech (Honda), Welch Motorsport (Proton), Support our Paras (infiniti), RCIB Insurance Racing (Toyota), Dextra Racing (Ford) and Power Maxed Racing (Chevrolet), with the latter just running a single car.
The session will run from 9:00am to 5:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break at 12:30. Tyrrell's restaurant and bar will be open from 7:30am until 5:00pm, serving food and drink throughout the day.
