Power Maxed Racing has today (8 September) announced that Tom Chilton will be unable to race on medical grounds at Silverstone next weekend (16-17 September).
Chilton will return for Brands Hatch after undergoing a routine operation, from which he has returned fit and well, but he has not been medically signed-off in time for next weekend's action and will sit out Rounds 25, 26 and 27 as he continues his recovery.
"It’s such a shame to miss the next races, but I have to follow the doctor’s orders," said Chilton. "I’m gutted to miss Silverstone particularly as it’s one of my favourite tracks, but I will be back for Brands."
There will be an announcement in the coming days from PMR disclosing who will fill the seat vacated by the Surrey racer. The outfit will be running its usual complement of two Vauxhall Astras at the Northamptonshire venue in just over a week's time.
