Main channel to share screening with ITV4 on 18 June
The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship is delighted to confirm that a two-hour segment from the upcoming race day at Oulton Park (18 June) will be broadcast LIVE on ITV1.
The remainder of the afternoon – a further four plus hours of live action – will be screened LIVE on ITV4.
After a hugely successful start to the new season, it is yet more evidence of the BTCC’s growing appeal that will see the opening two hours (1200-1400) of the championship’s next race day being shown on ITV1.
The ITV1 period will include the opening BTCC race, as well as a Formula 4 and Porsche Carrera Cup GB contest, before the action switches to ITV4 (1400-1815) for the remaining two BTCC bouts and a further three support races, including action from the Radical Cup UK and MINI CHALLENGE.
This move follows on from the 2022 campaign, which saw the BTCC’s television network partner promote the broadcast to its main channel on several occasions, whilst this campaign commenced with the announcement that all qualifying sessions will be streamed LIVE via the ITV Sport YouTube channel.
As always – for people on the move or choosing to watch online or via mobile devices – the entire race day will also be LIVE via ITVX and will be available to watch at anytime as a catch-up option on the same platform… meaning there are more ways than ever to watch the BTCC!
Rounds 13, 14 and 15 of the 2023 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship will take place at Oulton 17/18 June with the conclusion of the event marking the midway point of the season.
