In case you missed it… Top Gear – the BBC’s world-renowned motoring programme – ran a fun feature with presenter Freddie Flintoff last year, as a number of BTCC drivers gave the former cricket star a racecraft masterclass.
BTCC racers including reigning champion Ash Sutton, Adam Morgan, Nic Hamilton, Ollie Jackson, Rory Butcher and Gordon Shedden gave Flintoff the lowdown on defensive driving, as well as the inside line on last-minute overtakes and the ‘switchback’.
“You’ve got all these lads around you, who are proper drivers… one of them is Lewis Hamilton’s brother,” said Flintoff. “I’m feeling the pressure, I’m feeling it, I really am.”
