The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship is kicking off May with a new feature on its official website, where fans can get a new appreciation for the people involved in the series.
BTCC Careers will see fans suggesting different job roles within Britain’s premier motorsport series that they want to learn more about, with btcc.net publishing insightful interviews with the relevant individuals.
The feature would offer the opportunity for fans to hear about the key responsibilities and necessary experience or qualifications for the post, alongside information such as the subject's favourite circuit to work at and highlights of their time in the championship.
Fans can tweet @BTCC using #BTCCCareers for suggestions of both potential interviewees and questions they think would give an insight into the role, the individual or the championship as a whole. The interviews will then be published on btcc.net for fans to check out, to get some real behind the scenes insight into the championship.
Alongside the feature, the BTCC is hoping to offer the opportunity for fans to experience the series from the inside, shadowing a member of the TOCA paddock during a race weekend. This would further highlight aspects of the role and the championship as a whole which fans would not normally have the opportunity to experience.*
*This feature would be dependent on government advice regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, alongside health and safety stipulations.
