Next Tuesday 18 February will see teams and drivers from the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship out in force for a general test session at Thruxton in Hampshire.
The UK’s fastest circuit will play host to no fewer than seven teams that will contest BTCC 2014, and entry to the circuit is completely free of charge for the entire day. It’s a great opportunity for BTCC fans to get their racing fix ahead of the full Season Launch at Donington Park on 18 March, which is also free to attend from 12:30pm.
Teams testing at Thruxton:
Team Dynamics (Gordon Shedden, Matt Neal)
Eurotech Racing (Andrew Jordan, Martin Depper)
United Autosports (Glynn Geddie, James Cole)
Aiden Moffat Racing (Aiden Moffat)
West Surrey Racing (Colin Turkington, Rob Collard, Nick Foster)
Triple Eight Racing Engineering (Sam Tordoff, Mark Hynes)
Rob Austin Racing (Rob Austin)
Last year’s visit to Thruxton saw drama and action a plenty, with 2012 champion Gordon Shedden dramatically crashing in race one, and both Jason Plato and eventual champion Andrew Jordan suffering punctures whilst leading. Pirtek Racing’s Jordan also provided us with one of the saves of the year – check out his one-handed antics below!
