Brands Hatch set the scene for the final BTCC weekend of the year, showcasing three spectacular races with our 2025 champion being crowned, a driver's first win of the campaign in the very last round and of course our champions ceremony, in which six received their trophies!
As the season-long story comes to a close, take a listen to the latest instalment of Tin Top Tuesday, which was aired earlier this week (Tuesday, 7 October).
The podcast opened with Tom Ingram (Team VERTU), who reflected on his second BTCC title celebrations. The #80 took an unassailable lead in Round 29, race two at Brands Hatch, and stood atop his Hyundai i30N on Sunday 5 October for the first time as a two-time BTCC champion.
Daniel Lloyd (Restart Racing) was the next guest on the show, speaking as the 2025 Independent Drivers' Champion for the first time. The Huddersfield-racer spoke on all the mishaps that were not caught on TV in his stressful final day of the season.
Alan Hyde caught up with Daryl DeLeon (WSR), who made history one event ago as the first Filipino driver to score a BTCC pole position on the Saturday. Then, DeLeon repeated the feat at Brands Hatch GP en route to his 2025 Jack Sears Trophy title. Along with DeLeon, Oly Collins (Team Manager, NAPA Racing UK) also joined the show as the Alliance Racing-run squad took the Teams' Championship in every season that NAPA Racing UK has entered.
Last and by no means least, Marvin Humphries (Team Manager, Team VERTU) joined the show to speak on EXCELR8 Motorsport/Hyundai, who took home the Manufacturers'/Constructors' championship in 2025.
