Continuing the 7-Eleven series during the mid-season break, we turn to one of the 11 different drivers to reach the podium so far in 2026: WSR's Daryl De Leon. The reigning Jack Sears Trophy champion, who took his maiden BTCC win at Brands Hatch last season, has gone twice to the podium so far this year, both results coming at the same event.

De Leon's first podium of the campaign arrived in Sunday's opener, at what amounts to a home event for the Cambridge-based driver. Starting sixth, the #2 BMW 330i M Sport made steady progress through the opening laps before catching and passing Josh Cook (Speedworks Corolla Racing) for third, a position he held to the flag as teammate Charles Rainford controlled the race up front for a WSR double podium.
The Anglo-Filipino racer backed it up in the weekend finale, crossing the line third behind race winner Gordon Shedden (Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport) and a fast-recovering Ash Sutton (NAPA Racing UK), 3.226 seconds off the win. The double podium capped a Snetterton weekend that took his weekend points total to 41, his best haul of the season, and lifted him to third in the Independents' Trophy.
De Leon sits sixth in the Drivers' Championship as the mid-season break comes to a close, with a first outright win of 2026 still the target when the field returns to action at Thruxton (25/26 July) this weekend.
