Tin Top Tuesday returns after breathtaking Brands weekend

14th May 2025

Brands Hatch saw a bumper crowd at a sun-soaked weekend to exhibit the second event of the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship into life.

The Kent-based circuit delivered once again with two maiden victors displaying their talent around its formidable undulating characteristics. The new lighter, faster cars hit the forefront of the ITV coverage as Race Lap Records were smashed and Win Total records were broken.

As the season continues to roll into life and before the next event at Snetterton (24-25 May), take a listen to the latest instalment of TinTop Tuesday that was aired earlier this week (Tuesday 13 May).

The podcast hosted a number of familiar voices with Charles Rainford (LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR), getting his first BTCC victory in only his sixth race, being the first guest on the show.

“The guys have worked so hard in the factory to get the car to a position where Jake [Hill] and I, Daryl [DeLeon] and Aiden [Moffat] as well can all drive the car well now. It really was a whirlwind of expecting others to be doing other things that would explain why they weren’t quite as quick, but that just never happened.”

Daryl DeLeon (WSR) is the next guest on the show, having also taken his maiden victory in only his fifth race with the team and 50th overall in his career. The #2 BMW 330i M Sport driver talks coming down from cloud nine, the turnaround from Donington and much more.

Alan Hyde also caught up with Dick Bennetts, (WSR, Team Owner) the man at the head of all the triumphs from all three of the stable’s record-breaking wins. Along with Bennetts, Nick Foster (Ex-WSR driver) also joined the show with AUTO GLYM’s very own Mark Docherty.
