It was a memorable day for the veteran Tom Chilton yesterday as the Team VERTU man claimed his first BTCC pole position since Knockhill in 2011.

Chilton will start alongside team-mate Tom Ingram for today's opener, whilst Restart Racing's Chris Smiley was promoted to third on the grid following the exclusion of Mikey Doble after his Vauxhall failed post-session ride height checks.
