2nd October 2025

Power Maxed Racing (PMR) has today confirmed an exciting new chapter in its British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) journey, announcing the team will compete in the 2026 season with newly developed Audi S3 saloon models.

Renowned for its striking liveries and competitive spirit, Power Maxed Racing has been a staple of the BTCC grid, achieving overall wins, multiple podiums, plus Independents’ and Jack Sears Trophy titles since its debut. The move to the Audi S3 saloon marks a bold step forward for the team as it looks to combine its proven engineering expertise with one of the most dynamic touring car platforms available.

The decision follows extensive evaluation of the current BTCC technical landscape, with the Audi S3 saloon selected for its strong aerodynamic package, balance, and adaptability to both current and future touring car regulations.

Adam Weaver, Power Maxed Racing Team Principal, said: “We’re incredibly excited to announce the switch to the Audi S3 saloon for 2026. The BTCC is all about pushing boundaries and staying competitive, and we believe the Audi platform gives us a fantastic base to build from.

“We’re committed to delivering a car that not only looks the part but can fight at the front of the grid from Round 1. Selecting the Audi platform was both strategic and competitive, as we believe the shape gives us an advantage and it also fits well with both existing and potential brand partners.”

The 2026 campaign will see Power Maxed Racing work closely with its trusted technical partners to ensure the new cars are optimised for performance under the latest BTCC rules.

In keeping with tradition, the cars will carry an eye-catching livery featuring the likes of Power Maxed that has become a fan favourite, alongside key partners including Steel Seal and many others, ensuring the team continues to be one of the most recognisable outfits on the BTCC grid.

Martin Broadhurst, Team Manager, added: “Developing a new car is always a challenge, but it’s one the entire PMR squad relishes. We’ve already started work on the design and development of the Audi S3 saloon, and the early data looks extremely promising.

“Fans can expect the same passion, flair, and determination that Power Maxed Racing has always brought to the BTCC.”

The Audi S3 project signals Power Maxed Racing’s long-term commitment to the championship, underlining its ambition to challenge for titles while showcasing the strength of its partners on the biggest stage in UK motorsport.
