NAPA Racing UK: Four the record

3rd December 2025

The 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship saw NAPA Racing UK claim a fourth Teams’ Championship in as many years, as the Alliance Racing-run squad continued to take the title in every season it has competed.

It would be Team VERTU that led the way after the opening weekend, despite being tied on points with the eventual winners, who won two out of the three contests at Donington Park.

With Tom Chilton leading Tom Ingram in a Team VERTU one-two in the event’s final round, the duo would take top spot after Ash Sutton’s double win to kickstart the season.

3: Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport - 364: LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR - 33
5: Restart Racing - 316: Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing - 26

The Droitwich-based team would stand alone at the top after the season’s second destination in 2025. Taking three podiums across the weekend, Team VERTU would gather a 23-point gap to NAPA Racing UK.

LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR would make the jump to third spot after a victory and a second-place finish from Charles Rainford, a rookie who did not score at the opening event of the campaign.

3: LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR - 994: Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport - 81
5: Restart Racing - 706: One Motorsport - 62

NAPA Racing UK would stand victorious in the first race at Snetterton through the hands of Dan Cammish, igniting a weekend that would see the team close in by ten points.

Restart Racing, eventual Independent Teams’ Champions, would have its best round since joining the championship. In race two, the Hyundai i30 N racers would score only five points off of maximum points.

1: Team VERTU - 2312: NAPA Racing UK - 218
3: LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR - 1384: Restart Racing - 128
5: One Motorsport - 996: Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport - 98

The fourth event of the 2025 season would see NAPA Racing UK return to the top for the first time this year. All three racers, Daniel Rowbottom, Dan Cammish and Sutton would stand on the podium twice across race day, with the former and latter both taking triumphs.

Restart Racing would continue its early-season climb, not only being the top Independent Team but also rising up the table to be third overall in the Teams’ standings.

1: NAPA Racing UK - 3152: Team VERTU - 305
3: Restart Racing - 1724: LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR - 170
5: One Motorsport - 1366: Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport - 124

Momentum had continued its sway to the team in blue and yellow as the gap at the front was extended by a further six points. For the second week running, NAPA Racing UK scored 30 points or more in every race.

The fight for third was even tighter as Restart Racing held on to its third place after taking it last time out, eeking the gap to three points to LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR to close out the opening half of the year.

1: NAPA Racing UK - 4102: Team VERTU - 391
3: Restart Racing - 2084: LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR - 205
5: Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport - 1606: One Motorsport - 156

The mid-season break is exactly what Team VERTU needed as it closed the lead from 19 points down to three. Taking victory in race one and a double podium in the event’s final race to make it the tightest gap in the championship.

LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR returned to form to take back and extend its third-place margin more than it had done so far in 2025.

1: NAPA Racing UK - 4752: Team VERTU - 472
3: LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR - 2644: Restart Racing - 229
5: TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK with IAA - 1886: Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport - 160

As BMW-driven teams took to the fore at Knockhill, damage limitation was the idea at the top, which went better than was initially expected for both front-runners.

Despite Ingram being the only non-BMW winner across the weekend, Team VERTU would slip ever so slightly further back to NAPA Racing UK as the gap grew to seven points.

1: NAPA Racing UK - 5592: Team VERTU - 552
3: LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR - 3254: Restart Racing - 265
5: TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK with IAA - 2226: Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport - 211

With its second full score of the season, at the same location as its first, the Droitwich-based outfit once again took the lead of the standings from the then three-time Teams’ Champions.

Victories from both Ingram and Chilton saw the new team at the top take an advantage into the penultimate event by two points.

1: Team VERTU - 6422: NAPA Racing UK - 640
3: LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR - 3604: Restart Racing - 300
5: Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport - 2446: TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK with IAA - 227

After another swing in the 2025 Teams’ Championship, NAPA Racing UK would once again rise to the top after a less-than-ideal weekend for both contenders.

With only a total of three 20 or more points scoring rounds totalled from both teams, it was the season standouts that would both have their lowest weekend scores of 2025 so far.

1: NAPA Racing UK - 7002: Team VERTU - 697
3: LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR - 4174: Restart Racing - 347
5: Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport - 2916: TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK with IAA - 257

It all came down to the final event, as the duo started the weekend three points apart and finished it two points apart. More impressive is the quality of the two outfits as the duo stood 311 points ahead of any other team.

NAPA Racing UK took an 11-point lead after the opening race, a lead that would be eaten into throughout the rest of the day. But that initial jump out in front was enough for the holders to retain its Teams’ Championship title for the fourth year running.

1: NAPA Racing UK - 7752: Team VERTU - 773
3: LKQ Euro Car Parts Racing with WSR - 4624: Restart Racing - 386
5: Laser Tools Racing with MB Motorsport - 3196: TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK with IAA - 266
