Listen Again: Tin Top Tuesday - Silverstone

24th September 2025

Silverstone set the scene for the penultimate BTCC weekend, showcasing three spectacular races with a first-time winner, a team's maiden triumph and a championship protagonist standing on the top step of the podium!

As the season-long stories continue to unfold, take a listen to the latest instalment of Tin Top Tuesday, which was aired earlier this week (Tuesday, 23 September).

The podcast opened with Sam Osborne (NAPA Racing UK), who reflected on his first BTCC race win in his 202nd race start. The #77 first started racing in the UK's Premier Motorsport series in 2019, and after his trip to the top step, the Yorkshireman has already recorded his highest-scoring season to date, with three races remaining.

Pete Osborne (CEO, Alliance Racing) was the next guest on the show, speaking from a Father and a team owner's point of view after his son took his maiden victory in the series.

Alan Hyde caught up with Daryl DeLeon (WSR), who made history as the first Filipino driver to score a BTCC pole position on the Saturday. Along with DeLeon, Daniel Lloyd (Restart Racing) also joined the show as the Hyundai i30 N driver took his first victory since 2023, whilst taking the team's first win in the series.

Last and by no means least, BTCC legend Jason Plato joined the show to speak on how touched he has felt after he sat down with Louise Goodman on Silverstone race day to share his experience on mental health. Of course, the 97-time BTCC race winner once again left a hint at what he plans to do next year.
