Speedworks Motorsport’s Tom Ingram secured his first ever BTCC pole position after setting an impressive lap record in an exhilarating opening qualifying session of the new tin-top season at Brands Hatch. 

The top three – Ingram and the two Halfords Yuasa Racing Hondas of Gordon Shedden and Matt Neal – spoke to btcc.net after an exciting opening taste of BTCC action on the first Saturday of the season.
