Nick Halstead brings down the curtain on his time in the BTCC at the Brands Hatch finale this weekend, and the experienced racer will be doing so with a fantastic fan-based livery on his #50 Cupra.
Halstead recently launched a project to allow 2500 of his fans names to be printed on the car for the final weekend of the season and he received a brilliant response.
People had to submit their entry online and it took less than 24 hours to get 2500+ names… with the final results now live at https://btcc.nickhalstead.com/. The car will also be on display in the team’s garage after qualifying and during the pitlane walkabout on Sunday, should fans wish to locate their name in person.
“It has been a privilege to race in the BTCC and get to know so many of the fans, and receive just unbelievable support,” said Halstead. “Hope you enjoy finding your name, I look forward to driving it around Brands Hatch.”
The veteran made his BTCC debut in 2021 with his first three campaigns being behind the wheel of a Hyundai i30 Fastback N Performance machine run by EXCELR8 Motorsport.
His best result came during the 2023 Donington Park season opener where he grabbed a stunning seventh place finish, before he made the switch this year to Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing.
The year commenced in the legendary Vauxhall Astra before the mid-season switch to the Cupra following the devastating fire at PMR’s premises.
Overall points scoring finishes at Croft and most recently at Silverstone have been the high points of 2025, and the Kent driver will be hoping to do the same at his home race finale this weekend.
