The younger brother of multiple Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, Nicolas Hamilton lives with cerebral palsy but is pushing himself to race in Britain’s top series as an inspiration to others.

Hamilton makes a return to the UK’s premier motorsport series for his seventh entry into the championship, making his fourth entrance driving the Cupra Leon this year for Powder Monkey Brewing Co with Esidock.

Nic has been racing professionally since 2011 intially competing in the Renault Clio Cup UK finishing his debut season 14th in the standings. After a second season Hamilton would also add the European Touring Car Cup alongside his Clio Cup racing for his first taste of touring car action.

The #28’s first appearance in the BTCC would come in 2015 as a guest driver competing at four different events; Croft, Snetterton, Rockingham and Silverstone. After the initial taste of the championship it would be a return to the series’ support package back in the Renault Clio Cup UK in 2017 and 2018 finishing both seasons with 44 and 20 points.

Hamilton would then join ROKiT Racing with Motorbase to drive a Ford Focus ST for the 2019 BTCC season. Driving with modified controls, Nic continues to push the message that anyone can race, recently saying “Without my motorsport I would not be as able as I am today, I would not be as independent as I am today”.

Since driving the Audi S3 Saloon and the Ford Focus ST Hamilton has since gone on to drive the Volkswagen CC and the Cupra Leon all in the UK’s premier motorsport series.

The Volkswagen CC, under the ROKiT Racing with Team Hard banner, would be the car in which Hamilton would first score points in the championship at Brands Hatch Indy.

Two years later now in the Cupra Leon, the #28 would shatter his previous record finishing position with a sixth place finish at Donington Park National. After a year and a half away from the championship, Hamilton returns to the car he has driven the most as Un-Limted Motorsport expand from one car to three in 2025.
