‘Dream Drive’ becomes reality as Halstead joins Power Maxed Racing

6th May 2025

Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing has today (6 May) announced that Nick "Mr Crazy Cart" Halstead will join Mikey Doble racing the #50, not #22, for the remainder of the 2025 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season.

As it is an additional and late entry and thus fell outside the normal TBL/entry policy and timelines, it was given approval by TOCA only after receiving unanimous agreement by all TBL holders.

The partnership represents a true ‘Dream Drive’ for Halstead – both literally and figuratively – as he returns to the BTCC grid with the DreamDrive.Team platform at the heart of this innovative collaboration. The DreamDrive concept will serve as the foundation for a revolutionary approach to fan engagement and partnership activation throughout the season.

"Joining Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing alongside Mikey Doble truly is my Dream Drive come true," says Halstead. "But what makes this partnership special isn't just fulfilling my personal racing ambitions – it's about creating dream experiences for fans. I'm not here claiming to be the fastest driver on the grid – I'm here to have fun and bring fans closer to the sport they love through our DreamDrive platform."

Adam Weaver, Team Principal of Motor Parts Direct with Power Maxed Racing, said: "Nick's DreamDrive vision aligns perfectly with our ambitions to connect with fans in meaningful ways. His digital-first mindset and innovative approach to fan experiences complement our racing programme."
