Although January wasn't particularly packed with news regarding the 2022 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship, there were a number of announcements that could prove pivotal in the upcoming campaign.

Ingram and EXCELR8 Motorsport extend partnership

After a fruitful maiden campaign with the Suffolk-based outfit, a popular announcement saw Ingram confirm a new multi-year deal that will see him stick with the team until at least the end of 2023.

The annual Motorsport UK Night of Champions saw the stars of the 2021 BTCC honoured for their accomplishments, with Ash Sutton collecting a third BTCC Drivers' crown, while Dick Bennetts celebrated BMW/West Surrey Racing's success in the Manufacturers'/Constructors' Standings.
