BTCC Livery World Cup 2022: Latest updates

23rd November 2022

With the BTCC Livery World Cup 2022 Quarter Finals kicking off tomorrow, we're recapping how the voting has unfolded so far and looking at which liveries you've put through to the next round!

Day one of the knockout stage saw NAPA Racing UK go head-to-head with Halfords Racing with Cataclean to kick off the competition. The Motorbase Performance-run squad’s striking blue and yellow livery proved popular as NAPA Racing UK came out on top.

Then, it was the turn of Car Gods with Ciceley Motorsport and Bristol Street Motors with EXCELR8 TradePriceCars.com to lock horns for a place in the Quarter Finals. While the competition was fierce, it was the Hyundai outfit that took the victory, moving into the next stage of voting.

Next up came a close battle between ROKiT MB Motorsport and Uptonsteel with Euro Car Parts Racing. While the former came out on top of the Instagram votes, victory on Twitter for the Infiniti saw it come down to the wire, and it was Rick Parfitt's brightly-coloured machine that held a narrow 20-vote advantage and progressed to the Quarter Finals.

On Thursday, we saw another Infiniti take the win, as fans chose between the Laser Tools Racing machines and CarStore Power Maxed Racing's Vauxhall Astras.

Rounding off the first week of voting, Team BMW and Rich Energy BTC Racing went head-to-head on Friday as the BMW 330e M Sports and Honda Civic Type Rs battled for a place in the next stage. Although Rich Energy BTC Racing dominated the vote on Twitter, once again Instagram's vote threw a different result, and the culmination of both tallies saw the WSR-run outfit take the honours.

Kicking off Monday morning, it was Toyota GAZOO Racing UK and Autobrite Direct with JourneyHero's turn to face the vote. Despite a close start, the iconic red, white and black livery of the Toyota GAZOO Racing UK machines ultimately took the win.

In the penultimate face-off of round 1, we saw Yazoo with Safuu.com Racing lock horns with Apec Racing with Beavis Morgan's season finale livery. While the Yazoo-adorned Cupras accumulated a strong tally, it was the NASCAR-inspired livery of Apec Racing with Beavis Morgan that took the popular vote.

Today marks the final vote of the first round of the BTCC Livery World Cup 2022, and it's the turn of the two wildcard liveries...

With ROKiT MB Motorsport and Rich Energy BTC Racing notching the highest number of votes of all the runners-up, the pair have another opportunity to progress to the Quarter Finals, and fans have until 1000 tomorrow to support their favourite!
