The annual BTCC Goodyear tyre test is underway (4 July) with the championship taking on the Donington Park Grand Prix Circuit for the first time since 2002.

There are 20 BTCC regulars on-track, whilst Team HARD have introduced two rookies – Darryl DeLeon and Nathan Harrison – into the fold. 

The day kicked-off with the morning session from 0910-1225, before another run commences in the afternoon from 1330-1650.

The test is being run on the famous 2.49 miles GP circuit layout, ahead of Championship returning to the venue at the end of August (26/27). The action is providing drivers and teams with the unique opportunity to gather data from the track layout ahead of the official race weekend; it is also the first time a handful of the grid have even driven the GP layout altogether.

Title contenders Ash Sutton and Tom Ingram are currently leading the way with two hours of running completed, whilst new boy DeLeon is running a credible ninth.
