BTC RACING AND MICHAEL CREES PART WAYS

30th April 2021

Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship team BTC Racing regrets to announce it has parted ways with driver Michael Crees ahead of the start of the 2021 season.

Crees, who was set to contest the new BTCC campaign in the No.777 Honda Civic Type-R FK8, will no longer be participating in the championship and leaves the Brackley team – with which he won the Jack Sears Trophy last year – on amicable terms.

BTC Racing’s preparations for the new 30-round touring car season continue apace with drivers Josh Cook and Jade Edwards ahead of the first event of 2021, at Thruxton Circuit in Hampshire, over the weekend 8th/9th May.

A replacement driver will be announced in the next few days, prior to Thruxton.

Steve Dudman, BTC Racing Owner and Team Principal, said: “On behalf of everyone at BTC Racing, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Michael for his participation with the team in the British Touring Car Championship. It’s a shame the partnership isn’t continuing, but we wish him well in his future endeavours.”
