Having previously contested the latter part of the 2018 season, Toyota GAZOO Racing UK's Ricky Collard tackled his first full year in the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship in 2022.

After a tricky first half of the campaign, although the Hampshire racer would still add to his points tally during the initial events, Collard seemed to find his groove in the Toyota Corolla GR Sport at Knockhill, regularly taking the chequered flag in the points-paying positions to the end of the year.
