Snetterton marked the first race weekend in which Paul Rivett took to the BTCC grid, as the 42-year-old replaced GKR TradePriceCars.com driver James Gornall, who stepped down for the final three events of the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship campaign.
Rivett, who moved into Britain’s elite motorsport series as the most successful driver in the history of the Renault Clio Cup UK, secured a best qualifying position of ninth on Brands Hatch’s Indy layout and took a top 15 finish in the opening race at the Kent circuit, bagging his first-ever BTCC point.
