Power Maxed Racing has reaffirmed its relationship with Vauxhall while announcing a new title partnership in new-to-market insurance specialist, Sterling Insurance for the 2019 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship.
The outfit's link with Vauxhall Trade Club expands with the addition of Groupe PSA brand Eurorepar. To be distributed by Vauxhall Trade Club from 2020, Eurorepar is an all-makes parts range focused on quality, price and performance with over 10,000 referenced parts covering everything from air conditioning and braking to workshop consumables and many parts for any car in-between.
Chris Downing, Vauxhall’s Head of Trade and Fleet Sales, said: “We recognise the powerful benefits the association with PMR in the BTCC brings, so much so that each year, not only do we continue our support but we also increase our involvement.
"With the integration of Vauxhall and its new owner, Groupe PSA, it brings new opportunities for the Trade Club brand and 2020 sees us starting to distribute its all-makes parts range, Eurorepar. It’s a perfect platform to help manage and promote Vauxhall Trade Club and Eurorepar with our dealers and importantly our trade customers."
The team will become Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing for 2019, with its new title sponsor set to launch this summer, offering multi-purpose insurance at competitive prices with the help of its skilled staff.
A spokesperson for Sterling Insurance said: “This year's an exciting one for Sterling Insurance, and we're delighted to be supporting Power Maxed Racing, initially for the 2019 BTCC.
"We're really impressed with the outfit's line-up; Jason Plato is a much-loved, much-admired BTCC great. As well as brilliant racing, he also brings personality to the circuit - and that’s what we want to also offer the championship this season.
"Then to be joined by Rob Collard, another experienced and highly-respected driver is the icing on the cake, and we're looking forward to watching them both in the Power Maxed designed-and-built Vauxhall Astra. I'm sure it's going to be a brilliant season for us all."
Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing Team Principal, Adam Weaver added: “We’re really excited to be heading in to this season with Sterling Insurance as our title partner.
"Having taken the automotive car care brand Power Maxed to the size it is now in five years, purely through motorsport marketing in the BTCC, I’m genuinely looking forward to again displaying the power of marketing that the UK’s biggest motor racing series provides when done right. With Jason and Rob on board, it’s safe to say it’s going to be a Sterling year!”
The team has finalised its new gear, available for pre-order at dread.cc, while showcasing an interim livery showing its new colours and confirmed partners with a full unveil to come at Season Launch.
Shakedown of the new Sterling Insurance with Power Maxed Racing Astra will take at Brands Hatch on 6 March, initially at the hands of Collard. The following week, both Astras will be tested, with Plato set to join the action.
