Cataclean Racing has revealed its Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship race car with driver Dan Rowbottom displaying his 2019 mount at Autosport International earlier today.

Renault Clio UK Cup graduate Rowbottom will make his BTCC debut this season, driving a Mercedes-Benz A-Class run by Ciceley Motorsport under the Cataclean Racing banner. The car, bearing its Cataclean livery, and rookie Rowbottom proved a hit with the fans as he was interviewed on the Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship stage by Motorsport News editor Matt James.

The Cataclean Racing Mercedes is a proven package – a race-winning car operated by the Ciceley Motorsport squad, spearheaded by experienced team owner and racer Russell Morgan. The Kidderminster-based driver sees it as the perfect platform with which to make his BTCC debut.

“I can’t wait to get started,” said Rowbottom. “The car looks superb and with the support of Ciceley Motorsport I feel at home already. Russell is a great Team Principal and his son Adam is not only a BTCC race winner but also a very generous team-mate and I am sure that I will benefit from having him alongside me.

"I accept that this is a learning year, but I have proved my race-craft in karting, SEATs and Clios and I reckon it won’t take me long to get up to speed. The Mercedes has proved to be a race-winning car and with Ciceley having all the data I can tap into that and make rapid progress.

“We have a pre-season testing programme planned and then we can go racing! I am under no illusions about this season, but I can’t wait to get started and to get stuck in!”
