Audio streaming and podcast services provided by the BTCC Media Team have amassed some impressive figures so far in 2015 with the latter pushing through the one million barrier in recent days.
The BTCC has greatly expanded its audio offerings in recent seasons with live commentary, audio streaming and podcast downloads delivering a huge catalogue of content.
Via our partners at Cre8 Media the BTCC has more than 350 interviews and podcasts available while more than 80 hours of commentary has been streamed live from our events.
The live commentary of all BTCC sessions and that of all our support series have proved hugely popular but it’s the impressive download figures that have been confirmed this weekend.
More than 1 million downloads have now been generated via the BTCC’s official iTunes Channel while a further 400,000 interviews have been streamed online during the season so far – both of which are record numbers for the series.
“This is fantastic news and testament to all the hard work that the whole team puts in,” said BTCC Media Manager Simon Melluish. “More importantly it’s thanks to our hugely passionate fanbase that provide the inspiration and enthusiasm for our content. It’s well known that audience figures for the BTCC have been growing both at the circuit and on TV, but our online expansion in recent years has also shown incredible growth.”
